Top 10 Central Coast Brunch Spots
I don’t know if you know already but my hometown is swimming in some top notch cafes! The Central Coast, in my humble opinion, is one of Australia’s most beautiful and under-rated regions. Located just 1.5 hours north of Sydney, with amazing beaches, great walking trails and delicious foodie spots! I’ve put together a little list of some of my favourite Central Coast Brunch places!
*Disclaimer, after completing this post I kinda realised I’ve only showcased the greater Terrigal/Avoca area haha, in a bubble much? So, my dear friends, I have made it my mission to eat my way around the Central Coast and bring you some more amazing brunchy goodness! Stay tuned 😉

Once an old corner shop, Like Minds is much more than a cafe. This humble space lends its location to be an exhibition space, creative studio, lush veggie patch and when its not serving coffee during the day holds cool local events!
The owners have put love into everything they do and this is shown in the exceptional coffee and food! My favourite is the Smashed Avo with Goat Cheese!
They are all about fresh produce, sustainability & giving back to the local community. Sit back with a coffee in the garden and enjoy a long lunch with your closest friends.
Tip: They are closed Mondays 🙂
Ahh, my little oasis! Bamboo Buddha located in Holgate is my favourite for vegetarian and vegan dishes! This wholesome cafe is set in a serene Bali style setting with lush trees and even a koi pond! You will be transported to another place thanks to the ambience and tranquility they have created.
Tip: Enjoy the daily yoga classes with experienced Yogis! See the website for timetable;

Bella Natural Food Co
Family owned business with a passion for natural and organic produce. They pride themselves on their exceptional coffee and organic food.
A real favourite amongst the locals you will find fresh juices and smoothies, homemade sauces and jams and gluten free options available.
“Our mission at Bella is to offer our customers a healthier and smarter choice when it comes to what they eat. Our fresh food bar offers a gourmet selection of daily prepared fresh salads, wraps and rolls, pastries, fresh cut fruit salad, yoghurt and home made cakes and sweets.”
Tip: You will need to go more than once because my favourite is almost everything!
Glee Coffee Roasters
Known for their handcrafted coffee this cafe has 3 locations including my local at Erina Heights. This is only a recent find, but serving one of the brunches I have eaten (see photos for proof below) It had to have a mention!
Owners and brothers, Ben and Chris Gleeson believe Aussies are world leaders in speciality coffee. And are striving to be constant contributors in building and innovating the industry!
Tip: Go before midday and order the baked beans!
With the best real estate in all of Terrigal, this sun-drenched cafe is always busy!
Located directly opposite Terrigal Beach, Bellyfish owners have created a colourful and innovative menu whilst still delivering those ‘cafe favourites’.

Lovely husband and wife team Lawry and Wendy Gordon have created thriving and inviting cafe. Located just minutes away from Wamberal beach they consistently deliver substance and quality food. Using Toby’s Estate coffee, this aesthetically pleasing space serves up a dose of inspiration (thanks to the decorated blackboard out the front) with your daily coffee!
The Surf Cafe
Located under Terrigal Surf Club on Terrigal Beach this made the list for several reasons! It’s definitely my most visited cafe on the coast. Also my cheeky puppy Jada won’t let me walk past, you see the very kind owner Dave has a very soft spot for my Puglet and every time we are there he comes over and gives her treats 🙂 :)! Apart from being incredibly pet-friendly, this cafe delivers exceptional coffee with an even better view!
Tip: Puppy friendly 😉

The Boy and the Rose
Just over a year old, this delightful cafe was always going to succeed because of its friendly owners. Tucked in the quiet streets of North Avoca, this is probably a locals best-kept secret! One of my personal favourites as its just a minute from my place and even closer to the beach. Serving up simple fresh meals, healthy smoothies and top quality coffee!
Located in the up and coming area of Long Jetty, this quirky cafe has helped shaped the scene in its area. Known for its quality espresso, cool gallery space, friendly staff and unique vintage furnishing.
