The only 5 products you need for in-flight hydration!

Okay, so I love flying. I am one of those weird peeps that looks forward to those long haul flights, plane food and not feeling guilty about watching hours of entertainment. Please Note, I have never flown business class so this isn’t the reasons for my unwavering love of being blissful at 36,000 feet!

But here’s the cold hard truth, with already problem skin, jumping on board a 14-hour flight leaves my skin absolutely hating me! Travelling is tiring for the skin, with the humidity levels lower than 20%, our skin begins to suffer from severe dehydration and discomfort.

Besides sipping on water through the duration, I swear by a five beauty products to help with the depletion of moisture from our body! Hopefully, they help you to stay a bit more comfortable on your next journey!

FACE MIST

First things first, make up off. Hair in a bun. And freshen up with a spritz of face mist. I usually do this around three or 4 times during a flight. It leaves you feeling a bit more upbeat thanks to both the hydration and scent!

FACE MOISTURISER

After each spritz remember to follow up with an intensive moisturiser. Try using products that include sunscreen, plane windows do not filter out UV light, so you’re still vulnerable. Consider using a moisturiser that contains natural antioxidants like vitamin E, vitamin C and natural oils like jojoba and olive for extra hydration!

OILS

Despite their bad rep and fears of making your skin even more greasy, oils are actually a god sent! They are rich with antioxidants and natural fatty acids. During flights I usually apply once or twice. I have tried many but Jojoba oil ALWAYS keeps me coming back!

LIPS & EYES

Other than our skin our lips and eyes also go through the horrible moisturise deficiency. Suffering from dry problem eyes I carry eye drops everywhere with me. They also help with freshening up your tired eyes when you land. For lips, I usually stick to old faithful basics like Blistex and Pawpaw.

HAND CREAM

A great hand cream ( that doubles as a body cream) is a must! The more intensive the better. I love Natio’s Intensive Hand Cream, it leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft. Oh, and remember to only pack items that are 100ml and under on your carry on.

Tip: Once you have checked into your hotel wash your face with a mild scrub or face mask to rid the surface dry skin that have accumulated during your flight.  Finish up with an intensive moisturiser like this one!
