6 Things to Put In Your Toiletry Bag When Traveling

When you are travelling, it’s a wonder we remember to bring our toothbrushes with us. We are so excited to see new places, try new things, and live an adventure that we rush to the airport to get on the plane.

Then we get to where we are going and realize there should have been a few items placed in the bag before we left home. Don’t forget important things when you are travelling next, so here are six things to put in your toiletry bag the next time you travel.

Eye Cream

It’s important to keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Packing lotion is kind of a no-brainer for the person who practices good skin health, but don’t forget about under your eyes. The skin under our eyes is so sensitive and keeping it hydrated and keeping it firm is important. Your sleep schedule may be off from all the fun you’re having, and that can have an effect under your eyes.

Get a small bottle and bring it along. All you need is a tiny drop or two under each eye to keep yourself looking vibrant and well-rested. Think about all the pictures that could potentially come out just okay because your eyes looked tired. Keep your eyes shining no matter where you are in the world.

Anti-Inflammatory

When you go to new and far off places, you may encounter new wildlife that may affect you in a way that is not so great. The same goes for eating new foods that may affect you on the inside. With that, it’s great to have anti-inflammatory medications in your bag.

For skin issues having a hydrocortisone cream on hand will help alleviate the aggravation caused by itching and rashes. For internal issues, having turmeric pills on hand will help alleviate internal inflammation that may come from certain foods or drinks. The quicker you can reduce any kind of inflammation on or in your body, the sooner you can feel comfortable and be able to enjoy your trip.

Digestive Help

Eating those new and different foods can have a big effect on how well you digest everything you are eating. When you are packing your bags, throw medications in your bag that will keep you regular while you are away. Put some anti-diarrheal and some anti-constipation pills in your bag.

When you cannot properly digest everything, you can be put in a bad mood and your entire trip will be ruined. Digestive issues can also be caused by the stress of all of your travels, so taking the time to take it easy is also key to keeping yourself regular.

Hand Sanitizer

Keeping your hands clean and sanitized is super important. There are different germs all around the world and in order to keep them from spreading, you may want to bring hand sanitiser on your trip. No matter what you encounter you can pull out your bottle and ensure that your hands are not spreading germs.

You can get small bottles that travel well or you can get sanitiser wipes that you can use to wipe down your phone or other electronics to keep yourself super safe. There may not always be a bathroom nearby for you to get soap and water, but having your sanitiser means you will always be clean.

Sewing Kit

This may seem a bit strange, but if you can pack a sewing kit, life’s little bumps won’t seem so bad. Buttons pop off, clothes get snagged, and sweaters get holes in them, but if you have a bit of thread and a needle, you quickly fix all of these problems and you can get back to having fun.

You may want to dress up for dinner or you may have brought your favourite shirt along, but either way, you will always look your best while you are on the move and nothing will stand in your way.

Sunscreen

Always keep your skin protected. Buy a small bottle of sunscreen for your face to prevent sun damage and wrinkles, or pack a bigger bottle if you are going to a place where you will be on the beach.

Sunscreen is the ultimate protection against harmful rays and cancer-causing agents. A quick application of the lotion, and you will be protected at all costs. Nothing ruins a great beach vacation like a bad sunburn. Don’t fall into that trap. Buy your sunscreen and keep it in your toiletry bag all year round no matter what.
