Uluwatu located on the western cliffs of the Bukit Peninsula has always been a favourite for surfers. These days though with its laid-back vibes, beautiful beaches and food scene, all types of travellers are choosing Uluwatu as a spot on their Bali Itinerary.
Uluwatu is one of my favourite places on the island, we stay here every year, we even got married on the beautiful cliffside at Uluwatu Surf Villas! So what are the best cafes in Uluwatu you ask? Well just like Canggu, Uluwatu has some amazing cafes featuring artisanal coffee, smoothie bowls, hearty brunches and plant-based creations.

Restaurant to my favourite Uluwatu Surf Villas(the best hotel in Uluwatu), this eco-conscious venue offers healthy and flavorful dishes with a focus on sustainability. It also has kids’ playground which was perfect for Kylo to use some energy whilst Mum and Dad refuelled with coffee and lunch!

Yeye’s Warung
Yeye’s Warung is a laid-back eatery in Uluwatu, perfectly situated between Padang Padang and Uluwatu Beach. More than just a typical warung, Yeye’s has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it a favourite spot for surfers.
The Warung offers authentic Indonesian foods as well as other Asian, and Western meals, my favourite though is the nasi campur. With cheap beers, generous portions, and budget-friendly prices starting at just IDR 35,000 (~$2 USD), it’s an ideal spot for hungry surfers and backpackers looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The warung also features a small gift shop, where you can pick up local souvenirs and handmade crafts.
