The service and values that were shown are true to the universal Accor standards. Their brand promise, “Feel Welcome” was immediately felt during our arrival with exceptional customers service and speedy check-in process. This was then reinforced with a gorgeous chocolate welcome note and sweets accompanying a bottle of complimentary wine.
“Feel Welcome our signature. But more than that, Feel Welcome is the very essence of the hospitality that drives us every day. It is a promise we make to all our stakeholders.” – Accor Hotels.

We loved the location of Novotel St Kilda! With the CBD being just 6 km away, and a few minutes stroll to Acland St that is lined with shops and cafes. Positioned oh so perfectly on the water-front Esplanade in the heart of Melbourne’s most cosmopolitan district, Novotel St Kilda is surrounded by top attractions including Luna Park, the Sunday Arts & Crafts Market and St Kilda Pier. The tram stop right outside made for easy and convenient access to the famous Chapel St.
The rooms at Novotel St Kilda are clean and spacious, choose from 7 rooms types to fit your budget and requirements. We spent two nights in the Executive King Suite which was massive! Measuring 33 m, It had a huge bathtub, open-plan layout with lounge area and marvellous views of the beach and Port Philip Bay.
As we entered our executive room, I ignored everything else and went straight to the window. The view was amazing, the sun was setting over St Kilda pier, it was a true welcome! After taking in the view I noticed a delightful welcome dessert platter and a complimentary bottle of wine, so sweet and it’s those extra little details and thoughtfulness that sets Accor hotels apart!
What I loved most about our suite was the size! It was so spacious, it had a great lounge area with a pleasant backdrop and a desk area so I was able to get some work done!
The room had:
- Wi-Fi Internet access
- 40-inch LED TV
- Tea/coffee making facilities
- Spa Bath
- Iron & ironing board
- Work desk
- Free toiletries
- Room Service
What I would have loved to have seen is bedside USB ports or power outlets.

We dined in on a Sunday evening and it was fairly busy. We ordered a couple of cocktails and just two main meals. They were a lot of delicious sounding dishes that caught our eyes, after much deliberation, we settled on the butterflied no.5 chicken in chipotle yoghurt dressing and slaw and the chilli fish and chorizo jambalaya. Both were mouth watering and spicy just that way I like it. See photos below.
