Where to stay for Splendour
Although I haven’t camped at Splendour in the Grass, I have camped at multiple other festivals including Lost Paradise and Glastonbury. Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing experience to have but once you have done it a couple of times the novelty wears off.
In my opinion, renting an Airbnb with all your friends is the way to go! You get a comfy much-needed sleep after a long day, a nice shower, a place to cook a healthy meal and a full-length mirror!
Editors tip:
Make sure you organise yourself and book earlier as the Airbnb seems to get snapped out quite quickly.

You could also grab a couple of hotels room in the nearby suburbs like Gold Coast or Byron Bay.

What to Pack for Splendour in the Grass
1. Gumboots
Sure the weather apps say clear skies but even the smallest downpour can create a muddy festival experience! A good pair of sturdy boots are a must! They will also protect your feet whilst you dance the night away!
2. Backpack
You need a super cool bag that will also hold all your Splendour stuff. Preferably one that will let you wipe the mud off and is somewhat waterproof. I also like it big enough to fit my camera in easily.
3.Portable Charger
If you’re like me you want to document this festival experience. You want all the mems. You’re going to be uploading real-time sing-a-longs to stories. Oh, and you need to access that Splendour App to see who is playing at the Amphitheatre next? You are going to run low on battery. Now you could line up at one of those booths or you could pack a portable charger and not take a minute away from the good vibes and dancing!
4. Wet-ones
Festivals are a filthy business. Often they are in a dusty field, pack some wet wipes to refresh. They might also come in handy when they run out of toilet paper by midday.
5. Festival Outfits
6. Good Vibes
8. Splendour App
10. Ticket and ID
If you only remember one thing on this list make it your Splendour ticket and ID.
‘No ticket, no play’.
12. Reusable Water Bottle
ONE MILLION plastic bottles are bought EVERY MINUTE around the world — and that number will top half a TRILLION by 2021. Less than half of those bottles end up getting recycled.[7]
Along with the above staggering fact, bottled water is also impacting our health! Bottled water brands have poured millions into convincing us that their water is the healthiest, safest option. Yet recent research has revealed that bottled water is subject to far fewer safety tests than tap water, and is much more likely to be contaminated or cause infection.
13. Festival Sunnies
14. Good Jacket
15. Reusable Rain Poncho
Packing for Splendour isn’t complete without a rain poncho. 9/10 it rains at Splendour. Sometimes it’s only for a minute (YAY) and sometimes you will end up dancing in the rain and mud which you will learn to embrace and love so also YAY.
Don’t forget to pack a sturdy reusable rain poncho! I opt for a higher quality one that can protect my backpack that has my camera in it. I’m also not about single-use plastic so buying a better quality one means you will be able to use it again.
15. Camping Gear (optional)
