I haven’t been to Japan but it looks beautiful. That photo of the red arches going up against the forest background at Nara is my favourite. Such a beautiful contrast of colour.

Oh my goodness, this is just so so so stunning! I would love to visit Kyoto one day – it truly is high on my bucket list. I am pinning this post because I am planning to visit next year. I’ve heard too that it’s best to invest in the train pass. Good to know!

I had a 12 hour lay over in Osaka about 10 years ago and managed to leave to airport to explore a little bit of the city and I have wanted to go back ever since. Kyoto looks lovely and I am so glad you included the food as its one of my favourite parts of travelling. Great job on getting a half price deal on the pizza!

So many places to experience while you are in Kyoto that if you were to go you would have to do each and every one. Would especially like to see the Bamboo Forest then come back for a dumpling dinner!
