Seminyak was where Bali‘s cafΓ© culture was born β long before Canggu became the digital nomads digital nomad hotspot it is today, it was Seminyak’s laneways and shopfront corners that first served up single-origin flat whites and smoothie bowls that looked too good to eat. After 30+ trips to Bali and more cafΓ© mornings here than I can count, I’ve worked out which ones are genuinely worth your time and which ones are coasting on pretty tiles and Instagram feeds.
This list covers the cafΓ©s I actually visit, every trip. A mix of old favourites and newer openings, across every occasion β family breakfast, solo coffee run, lingering brunch with friends. Addresses and opening hours are verified as of 2026.
If youβre exploring more of Baliβs cafe scene, check out our guides to the best cafes in Canggu, Uluwatuβs top coffee spots, and Ubudβs must-visit cafes. And if you’re planning your trip, don’t miss our Bali itinerary, and things to do in Bali.
1. Kynd Cafe
During my Bali itinerary, my non-negotiable is visiting Kynd. Every single Seminyak trip, without exception. Kynd is almost 100% plant-based ( they used to be but they introduced eggs and cheese recently) with a menu that β and I say this as someone who eats meat β genuinely makes you forget what you’re missing.
The smoothie bowls are extraordinary (the acai and the tropical bowls especially), the breakfast burger is incredible, and the cafΓ© itself is this exuberant explosion of pink and tropical plants that somehow never feels overdone. I always get a smoothie bowl and a latte and I always leave wishing I’d ordered more.

It’s one of the most recognisable cafΓ©s in Bali for good reason β but it’s not just Instagram that keeps the queues going. The food is genuinely excellent, and the Uluwatu location means I end up here on almost every Bali trip regardless of where we’re based.

2. Sea Circus
Sea Circus is as colourful as its name suggests, with a bright, playful interior and a great selection of brunch and coffee, making it one of the best cafes in Seminyak. Itβs a fantastic spot if you prefer a social and energetic setting while working. The menu is packed with tropical smoothie bowls, gourmet tacos, and quality espresso.

π Address: Jl. Kayu Aya No.22, Seminyak β° Hours: Daily 7:30am β 10pm

What to Try: Acai Bowl, Fish Tacos, Iced Coconut Latte
3. Milk & Madu Seminyak (New Opening)
Milk & Madu has been one of our favourite places to eat in Bali for years β we’ve done their Berewa and Uluwatu locations more times than we can count, and the Seminyak opening is their newest and one of their biggest.
The format that’s made them a Bali institution translates perfectly: a fully air-conditioned, two-storey space with a dedicated family-friendly floor complete with a kids’ play area, chalk board, and quiet corner, and a more relaxed dining level upstairs for when you want to eat in peace.

The menu is the same extensive Milk & Madu spread we love β and that’s genuinely a compliment. The breaky burrito and crispy corn fritters are our top picks every time, and the madu shakshuka is the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you’ve left.
The big breakfast is exactly what it promises. For brunch cocktails, they do a Bloody Mary and a mimosa that make a slow Seminyak morning feel like an event. Kids are made to feel genuinely welcome here β not tolerated, welcome β which makes all the difference when you’re travelling with little ones.
π Address: Jl. Raya Seminyak No.56, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 10pm
πΈ Instagram: @milkandmadu

What to order: Breaky burrito, crispy corn fritters, madu shakshuka, big breakfast, Bloody Mary

4. Baked
Exactly what it says β a proper bakery cafΓ© with some of the best pastries in Seminyak. Croissants, pain au chocolat, filled brioche, all made properly and rotating daily. The coffee is excellent, the space is calm and unhurried, and it’s one of the best places in Seminyak for a slower morning before the day ramps up.
We often stop here before heading to the beach β a coffee and a croissant from Baked is one of those small Seminyak rituals that becomes quietly essential.

π Address: Jl. Petitenget No.99X, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 4pm
πΈ Instagram: @baked.indonesiai
π½οΈ Menu: Rotating daily β check their Instagram for current offerings
What to order: Croissant, whatever the daily special pastry is, long black
5. Watercress
Watercress is a Seminyak staple, known for wholesome meals, specialty coffee, and a cozy atmosphere. Their all-day breakfast menu, filled with fresh, healthy options, is perfect for fueling long work sessions. The indoor-outdoor seating, fast Wi-Fi, and relaxed vibe make it a top Seminyak cafe for digital nomads and entrepreneurs. This is also a favourite for our Ubud Itinerary!
What to Try: Watercress Benny, Power Smoothies, House-Roasted Coffee
π Address: Jl. Petitenget No.15, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 5pm

6. Sisterfields
The blueprint of Bali brunch. Sisterfields has been packed since the day it opened and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down β which tells you everything you need to know. The menu is modern Australian done with real intention: truffle scrambled eggs, chocolate brioche French toast, blackberry pancakes with whipped mascarpone, pulled pork in a charcoal roll.
Everything is properly good. The coffee is consistently excellent. The service moves fast even when it’s busy, which it almost always is.
Go on a weekday if you can to avoid the weekend queue, or arrive right at opening. It’s worth the wait either way.
π Address: Jl. Kayu Cendana No.7, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 9pm
πΈ Instagram: @sisterfields

What to order: Truffle Scrambled Eggs, Chocolate Brioche French Toast, Blackberry Pancakes

7. Coffee Cartel
Founded by Australian Blake Johnson, Coffee Cartel has built not just a cafΓ© but a roasting and distribution business β and the name “Cartel” is about community, a network of people connected by a shared love of coffee. The two-storey Seminyak space is more polished than it looks from the street: white faΓ§ade, leafy plants out front, and a vibe inside that’s busy but laid-back β the kind of place that feels crowded and calm at the same time.
The signature is the Ripple Latte β instead of traditional free-pour latte art, they use a special printer that sprays coffee extract onto the foam, so you can have whatever you like printed on your coffee. It’s a fun touch that works as well on your fifth visit as your first.

The coffee itself is genuinely excellent β Australian cafΓ© standard and comparable to the best on the island β and the brunch menu delivers on the same level. The smashed avo, big breakfast, and truffle scrambled eggs are consistently the most ordered dishes, and for good reason. Worth noting: Coffee Cartel is the sister cafΓ© of Teja in Uluwatu β the restaurant we’ve already recommended for a special dinner down south, so it’s a nice throughline across the trip.
π Address: Jl. Lebak Sari No.8, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7:30am β 6pm
πΈ Instagram: @coffeecartelbali
π½οΈ Menu: View menu here
What to order: Ripple Latte (get your name or a message printed on it), truffle scrambled eggs, smashed avo, big breakfast
8. Kim Soo Cafe
Kim Soo is not just a cafΓ© but a lifestyle and homeware store β and that combination is genuinely part of the appeal. You walk in expecting a flat white and end up staying an hour, browsing hand-carved chairs, woven baskets, linen throws, ceramic mugs, and Balinese textiles styled in a way that makes the whole space feel like a very beautiful home rather than a shop. The turquoise splash pool at the back, the monochrome backdrops, the marbled tables β there’s no shortage of OOTD spots, but it never feels contrived.
The cafΓ© itself sits on an outdoor terrace alongside the store β a calm, unhurried space for all-day breakfast and lunch. The triple cheese toastie (cheddar, mozzarella, and Swiss on thick sourdough) is one of the best simple cafΓ© bites in Seminyak, and the French toast and house-made cakes are worth coming back for. It’s the kind of place you’ll wander into for a coffee and leave having bought something for your kitchen at home.
π Address: Jl. Kayu Aya No.21, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7:30am β 5:30pm

What to order: Triple cheese toastie, French toast, house-made cakes, flat white

9. Biku Bali
One of my long time favourite Seminyak Cafes is Biku. I love Biku because of the added quirk, the styling and the wall hangings that give this place such a good vibe! If you want something that feels entirely different from the standard Seminyak cafΓ© circuit, Biku is it.

Set in a 150-year-old teak joglo β walls lined with antique teapots, vintage homewares, beautiful wooden furniture β it’s one of the most atmospheric dining experiences in all of Seminyak. We come here for a long, unhurried lunch or afternoon high tea whenever we’re in the area, and it’s been on every trip for years. The Indonesian-influenced menu is lovely, the service is genuinely warm, and the setting makes everything taste better.
π Address: Jl. Petitenget No.888, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 8am β 11pm
πΈ Instagram: @bikubali
π½οΈ Menu: View menu here
What to order: High tea set, breakfast plates, fresh juices
10. Revolver
If Kynd is my brunch non-negotiable, Revolver is my coffee non-negotiable. Tucked down a narrow laneway in Seminyak in a way that still feels like a genuine discovery even on your fifth visit, Revolver was one of the first cafΓ©s in Bali to treat coffee as a serious craft β and it’s been setting the standard ever since. The warehouse interior, exposed brick, dark walls, and the smell of properly roasted beans make it feel like a very good reason to be awake.
The beans are sourced from Indonesian farmers and roasted locally. The cold brew is excellent. By evening it becomes one of the better espresso martini bars in Seminyak, which is a nice bonus. The food menu is worth ordering from too β the buttermilk hotcakes and the breakfast burger both consistently impress.
π Address: Jl. Kayu Aya Gang 51, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 11pm
πΈ Instagram: @revolver.bali
π½οΈ Menu: View menu here
What to order: Cold brew, flat white, Buttermilk Hotcakes, Breakfast Burger

11. Cafe Organic
Seminyak’s original healthy-eating institution and still one of the best. Organic, locally sourced, everything made thoughtfully. The smoothie bowls are consistently excellent, the staff are lovely, and the space has a quiet, green energy that feels genuinely restorative after a busy day. Good option for anyone eating gluten-free β the menu is clearly labelled.
π Address: Jl. Petitenget No.17a, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 10pm
πΈ Instagram: @cafeorganicbali
π½οΈ Menu: Available on their website
What to order: Smoothie bowl, green juices, acai bowl

12. Pison
A Seminyak favourite for a more relaxed, artistic cafΓ© atmosphere. Pison blends good coffee with a warm, gallery-style interior and a fusion menu of Asian and Western dishes. It’s the kind of cafΓ© that suits a longer stay β unhurried, comfortable, not rushed β and one that regulars keep coming back to for consistently good food and a reliable flat white.
π Address: l. Petitenget No.19A, Kerobokan
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 10pm
πΈ Instagram: @pisonbali
π½οΈ Menu: Available at the cafΓ©
What to order: Flat white, any of the Asian brunch plates
13. HUT by Shelter (Formerly Shelter CafΓ©)
One of the more surprising cafΓ© experiences in Seminyak β you walk through a ground-floor bakery and up a staircase to find yourself in a leafy, open-air rooftop space that feels completely separate from the street below. HUT does all-day dining with a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern lean: fresh pastries from the in-house bakery, an extensive all-day breakfast menu, solid coffee. The big communal table in the centre makes it a good option for groups or for a solo laptop session in a space that actually has comfortable seating.
π Address: Jl. Drupadi 1 No.2b, Seminyak
β° Hours: Daily 7am β 10pm
πΈ Instagram: @hut.bali
π½οΈ Menu: View menu here
What to order: Anything from the in-house bakery, the all-day breakfast plates
Seminyak’s cafΓ© scene has been setting the Bali standard for over a decade and it still earns that reputation. The difference between the best cafΓ©s here and what you’ll find elsewhere on the island is consistency β these are places that were good five years ago and are still good now, with a handful of newer openings (Milk & Madu, HUT) that have slotted in seamlessly. If you’re in Seminyak for two days, you could genuinely eat through six of these and not make a wrong turn.
Our Seminyak recommendations don’t stop at cafΓ©s β see our full Best Restaurants in Seminyak guide and our Things to Do in Seminyak guide for everything else worth doing while you’re there.
