Top camping spots in the UK with incredible mountain views

While Britain hosts an abundance of fantastic seaside camps, there are also quite beautiful, quiet spots on the cliffs that are ideal for those who prefer to walk in the cool air and stunning views at high altitudes. Here are some of our favourite campsites that you can find in the UK if you are a mountain lover.

Camping Gordale Scar, North Yorkshire

Yorkshire is definitely a blessed area. You will not find anywhere else this friendliness of the locals, the countless grazing sheep and its magnificent hills. In this area’s foothills is a quiet campsite located less than a quarter of a mile from a cascading waterfall where you can visit it. Although there may be strong winds in the area, it is worth visiting its large hills, such as the nearby Malham Bay and access to the Pennine Way hiking trail.

Baystone Bank Farm, Lake District

With a stream that runs through the place, Baystone Bank Farm is the perfect camping spot for those who want to sleep in the sounds of nature. The wake-up call comes with the bleating of swaledale and blackfaced sheep.

Located on a farm at the foot of White Combe Mountain in the heart of the lake, this campsite is about as rural as it gets. Unzip your tent, and it is 100 steps to the Cumbrian Heavy Horses Riding Center, where you can ride for a tour of the area. The top of the White Combe area is a stone’s throw from the site. Wander along the ridge at Black Combe, and on a clear day, you can see all the way to the Irish Sea.

Caolasnacon, Argyll

It is hard to find anywhere in the UK rougher geomorphology than the Scottish Highlands. The Caolasnacon Caravan & Camping Park on the outskirts of Kinlochleven is really what you think. The site is located on the Loch Leven banks and is surrounded by peaks in almost all directions, with the Mamores Mountains to the north and the Glen Coe to the south.

In addition to walking to the top of the nearby mountains to enjoy the view, you can also cool off in the lake waters and maybe even spot an otter. There is much other wildlife around the hotel, but this is definitely not a cause for concern

Gwerniago Farm, Snowdonia

Gwerniago Farm is located in the south of the National Park and in the heart of Wales. With a view overlooking the enchanting Dyfi Valley (Dovey), you can camp in an area that is indeed next to the freshness and refreshing nature.

If you are camping with children, King Arthur’s Labyrinth Underground the Adventure Kingdom is just a 15-minute drive away and is the perfect place to spend the day if the skies decide to open. If you do not own a car, you can always turn to the choice of a rental vehicle, which will offer you the appropriate freedom and comfort when moving around the area. Trusting Enjoy Travel, you can choose the car that suits your needs, either a regular passenger car or a more spacious family car, at unbeatable and economical prices. In fine weather, nearby Borth is suitable for a day out at sea. As night falls, it is about roasting mushrooms over the fire and watching as the stars illuminate the sky.
