Watermark Hotel & Spa is a 4-star premium hotel strategically located just a few minutes walk away from the sandy coastline of Kedonganan – Jimbaran beach in Bali. We had the pleasure of staying at the Watermark for 2 nights in a Club Suite. This was our first time staying in Jimbaran, I have stay say the location was quite perfect if you want to be close to everything yet want a more relaxed and quiet vibe.

The Highlights
+The team is amazing, all smiles and kindness the Balinese locals are known for. They really make you feel like home when you stay here.
+The location is perfect with just a few minutes walk to the beach and just 10 minutes from the airport.
+The style of the suites are inspiring, fresh, spacious and the details have really been thought about. I loved the mix of marble and wooden features.
+Each suite comes a huge bathtub, balcony, water dispenser and your own coffee machine. They had me at coffee on tap!
+Good Wi-Fi! And enough space to work or catch up on e-mails and do it all with a killer view!
Location of the Watermark Hotel Bali
Located in Jimbaran, Bali, where the area is famous for its sunset seafood dinners on Jimbaran Beach. Just a 10-minute drive to the airport or 10-minute walk to the beach and only minutes away from all the local shops and restaurants. The area is much quieter than its neighbour Kuta or Seminyak. Perfect spot to add to your Bali Itinerary if you want a very safe and peaceful place to truly enjoy and relax.
Tip: Head north on Jalan Uluwatu just a couple of minutes and you will get to Warung Surabaya with the cheapest and yummiest Indo food in Jimbaran.
Rooms at the Watermark Hotel Bali
The accommodation at Watermark is spacious and modern with a touch of Japanese inspired architecture and furnishings. There are quite a lot of rooms types to fit all travellers and their budgets. The room types vary, but most have an outdoor balcony, with views of the beautiful ground pool area.
We spend two nights in a Club Suite Twin Room which was massive! It had a huge bathtub, kitchenette area with a microwave, fridge and sink, coffee machine and water dispenser. Also with the standard air-conditioning Wi-Fi, large LCD TV and extremely comfortable beds.
What I loved most of our suite was the size! It was so spacious, it has a great lounge area with multiple seating and a desk area so I was able to get some work done! We had friends who were also in Bali and invited them up for afternoon tea, there was maybe 9 people in the room, all enjoying coffees with a view!

Dining at the Watermark Hotel Bali
We all know by now my favourite things are food, coffee and travel, So I was stoked to find out the Watermark has not one but three restaurants!
The main restaurant and where breaky is served is W Senses. Each morning we enjoyed an incredible buffet breakfast, on the ground floor that overlooked the pool and surrounding gardens.
There was always an incredible variety of international breaky favourites, including an egg/pancake station, soups, salads and fresh cold-pressed juices! The only thing I could fault was the Cappuccino I ordered; unfortunately, it tasted like lukewarm milk- I stuck to the coffees in my room 🙂
The head chef, Yoshifumi Machino is widely known for his expertise in the food industry and that’s shows in the meals. One night we had the Indonesian cuisine and Italian tasting plates for dinner, each comprising of 5 little dishes on a laughable size plate- literally, couldn’t stop laughing at how big the plate was!
The best meal we had here though was at the Japanese restaurant Nishizazbu Imadoki, known for its amazing soba and tempura! Walking in you immediately feel like you have been transported to Japan, the standard irrashimase on arrival and waitress dressed impeccably to match the Japanese decor.
Thirdly the Angelique Cafe where you will find a range of pastry and desserts. Perfect spot for an afternoon coffee and cake.

Facilities at the Watermark Hotel Bali
The facilities on site are great, this is mainly because of the staff. Their communication is strong, at all times our needs were taken care of attentively, whilst always smiling!
There are two large pools and one smaller paddle pool for the kids. My favourite was the rooftop pool where you can view the sunsets with cocktails in your cabana. See photos below 🙂
We also enjoyed a full spa day at Liang Spa located on the ground floor.
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like princesses! We were offered a welcome drink as the staff explained the menu and package details, we also choose our preferred oils and scents! To say we were swiftly massaged into heaven is an understatement we then enjoyed ourselves for about 4 or so hours! Bliss!
Other facilities include a kids’ play area, a fitness center, a ballroom, a gift shop, MICE facilities and beachclub!

That infinity pool is divine! I could see myself relaxing here.
We stayed in Jimbaran for the first time last visit – I loved the sleepy feel compared to Seminyak, which is so busy.
The spacious rooms sound pretty good. My other half rates hotel rooms by their acreage. He doesn’t much care what else they do or don’t have as long as there is plenty of room.
