The Pantry

The Pantry Café at Forresters Beach has recently come under new ownership, and the change has been nothing short of a win for locals. Tucked inside The Quarters, this spot has quickly become a go-to for both quality coffee and beautifully executed brunch dishes. On my recent visits, I tried the O.G. Benedict, a perfect balance of rich hollandaise, soft eggs, and fresh sourdough – as well as their Chilli Egg Rice Bowl, which was packed with flavour and had just the right amount of heat to kick-start the day. Both dishes were generous, comforting, and a great reflection of the new team’s approach to elevating the menu while keeping it approachable.

What makes The Pantry extra special is how well it caters to everyone. Alongside the all-day café menu, they offer a high tea experience, which is perfect for birthdays, baby showers, or a relaxed weekend catch-up with friends. Families are also well looked after, with a small playground on site so the kids can run around while parents enjoy their meal at ease.

With its fresh new vibe, family-friendly touches, and versatile offering, The Pantry Café is quickly becoming one of the must-visit cafés on the Central Coast. Whether you’re craving a classic brunch, planning a special occasion, or just after a coffee pit-stop while exploring Forresters Beach, this spot delivers on all fronts.

Morning Coffee Society

Opening its doors as early as 5:30 AM on weekdays, The Morning Coffee Society is a haven for those seeking their morning caffeine fix. Their commitment to quality brews and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a staple in Long Jetty.

It’s also a spot that caters well to families, with kid-friendly touches like colouring-in sheets and fresh baked cookies offered with purchases – perfect to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy your coffee. The front counter always tempts you with pastries in the window, making it hard to walk away without grabbing a treat.

When it comes to the menu, there are plenty of standout options. Some of my personal favourites include the chilli scramble for a spicy kick, the vego bagel stacked with crispy kale, double halloumi, hummus, chunky smashed avo, fried egg and caramelised onion on a toasted bagel, and the house-made classic corn and zucchini fritters served with garlic and feta whip plus a spicy capsicum tomato tapenade. It’s the kind of place where you’ll quickly find a go-to order, but there’s always something new to try.

Like Minds

Once an old corner shop, Like Minds, is much more than a cafe. This humble space lends its location to be an exhibition space, creative studio, lush veggie patch and when its not serving coffee during the day holds cool local events! This cafe is also great for kids thanks to its enclosed garden.

The owners have put love into everything they do and this is shown in the exceptional coffee and food! My favourite is the Smashed Avo with Goat Cheese!

They are all about fresh produce, sustainability & giving back to the local community. Sit back with a coffee in the garden and enjoy a long lunch with your closest friends.

Tip: They are closed Mondays 🙂

  1. I am a big fan of relaxing at coffee shops and especially of enjoying a good meal at one. You live in my kind of town. Everything looks and sounds wonderful, and so many great coffee options. I discovered smashed avocado on our last trip to Melbourne, and love it.
